Statutory Public Meeting – Future Caledon Official Plan 

Please Join Us on April 11th at 6:00 p.m. for a Future Caledon Official Plan Public Meeting. 

We want to hear from you! The Town is committed to engaging in a way that is open, transparent, accessible and inclusive. This is your chance to review the draft plan and provide your comments.    

According to provincial and regional plans, the Town of Caledon is expected to grow from its current population of approximately 80,000 residents to 300,000 by 2051. 

The Official Plan is an overarching policy document consisting of goals, objectives, policies and maps that will guide Caledon’s growth and development to the year 2051. It strives to maintain a high quality of life for residents and sets out the expectations for future community and employment areas, transportation and municipal services, and use of land. 

All municipal decisions, by-laws and public works must conform with the Official Plan, which means things such as streets, infrastructure (sewers, water, utilities), parks, community facilities, and even future requests to build or change buildings on land must conform with the Official Plan.
