Caledon and area residents will once again have the opportunity experience aircraft and aviation history up close and support their community at this year's annual Airport Day hosted by the Brampton Flight Centre (BFC).

Whether you want to test your flying skills with the Centre's flight simulator, talk with pilots pf amateur-built planes, or check ouit classic antique aircraft (and automobiles), Airport Day will satisfy anyone's curiosity about flight and Canada's role in aviation. For $50, visitors can also take a sightseeing flight to marvel at the stunning landscape of the Caledon region from up on high.

Visitors can also tour one of the most treasured museums, the Great War Flying Museum, located on the same grounds and home to impressive warplanes and other fascinating artifacts that bring Canada's early years of flight to life. Admission is $10 for adults, $20 for a family of up to four payiing adults and kids under 12 are free. Proceeds support the museum's work to preserve and promote Canada's First World War legacy.

Airport Day kicks off at 10am. Come early for breakfast at the BFC Restaurant and Cafe, stay around for an afternoon bite at our BBQ (Cash only) and enjoy many other activities scattered throughout the day, such as face painting and a bouncy castle for kids, airport tour wagon rides, birds of prey and live music performed by Now & Then.

This year we are excited to support Caledon Community Services and encourage all visitors to bring along a non-perishable food item, baby essentials or make a financial contribution.

The Brampton Flight Centre is owned and operated by the Brampton Flying Club, a not-for-profit organization and the only flight school in Canada that owns and operates an airport. The Club was formed in 1946 and relocated to Caledon in 1969. The Flight Centre is an internationally recognized flight-training school and produces many of Canada's top pilots.

It also strives to build community spirit and civic pride by hosting events like Airport Day and supporting local initiatives and other like-minded organizations.
