Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is planning to ecologically restore Pinchin Pit, a former aggregate site in Caledon. Our aim is to use clean excess soil to transform the site into an area suitable for tree planting, native grassland habitat and new wetlands.

Pinchin Pit will eventually be open to the public as a passive use conservation area, featuring trails, wildlife habitat and nature-based recreation opportunities. We will be sharing draft conceptual plans for Pinchin Pit based on community feedback received to date.

The community is invited to drop in at any time between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. to learn about the project, meet with staff and share feedback.
